Day 12 Summary Video Duluth GA to Asheville NC
As luck would have it, in the mid morning Rick and I went to visit a high school friend of mine, Kathy and her husband Erics. We were treated to a quick excursion on their newly acquired pontoon boat for their neighbor lake adventures. Thanks Kat & Erics for the visit!
After the lovely morning we departed at noon to catch up with Team 70s and headed to The Tail of the Dragon loop along with another suggested loops.
The riding out here is amazing! Tons of great country roads winding roads into small towns with great people. I must come back.
It was 6 pm when we finished riding the tail there and back and it was time to head to Asheville before it gets dark. We did it and arrived about 8:30 and had a room ready thanks to team 70s
We are still monitoring Elsa and trying to determine our options…
What a beautiful day of riding! Looks like you had perfect weather too!
Beautiful sights. Love the Tail of the Dragon shots.
Happy birthday Jimmy V!
Great ride through the Smokies as I already said. And you were in Asheville and didn’t stop to see Peter?!? Where have you chosen to spend your birthday tomorrow? Will you be stopping to see Elizabeth in Vermont? As long as you get here for the party!
the thought did cross my mind – but we arrived at 8:30 in the evening – another long day.
😂😂😂 Good call😅
At Morrow-Meadows working- we are all living vicariously thru our brother Rick Lane. Have fun and be safe
There’s no way I’d get very far on my 1986 Honda Helix 250, so following you guys in my arm chair is the closest I’ll get. The Tail of the Dragon and those windy roads look like heaven! Thanks for sharing the experience!
